Mr. Dennis Mejias

Coach Mejias was a state champion for Mepham High School in the state of New York and earned All-American status. In 1984 he was a New York Freestyle State Champion. Coach Mejias received a full scholarship from Wilkes University to wrestle at the Division I level. In college, Coach Mejias was a 3-time NCAA qualifier and 4-time place winner at the Eastern National Qualifier.

 

In 1987, he was named an NCAA All-American after taking 8th place at the NCAA tournament. Coach Mejias was honored to be included in the Wilkes University Hall of Fame in 2003.
